UP2DATE is an International research project funded by Horizon 2020 which targets a new software paradigm for SAfety and SEcurity (SASE) software updates for intelligent and resource intensive Mixed‐Criticality Cyber‐Physical Systems (MCCPS), promoting a safety and security concept that builds around composability and modularity as main properties to enable a dynamic post-deployment validation of SASE properties..
The primary objective of UP2DATE is to provide new software paradigms for safety and security Over-the-Air Software Updates (OTASU) targeting the automotive and rail sectors. UP2DATE will also offer specific solutions for design points in the software update continuum considering criticality of the involved software, timing consistency of the system before, during and after the updates, and the impact on availability. All this will be done in accordance to associated safety and security verification and validation (V&V) methodologies considering certifyability in future products.
UP2DATE brings together leading research institutes IKERLAN (Spain), Barcelona Supercomputing Center (Spain) and OFFIS (Germany), and leading companies CAF Signalling (Spain), Marelli (Italy), IAV (Germany) and TTTech (Austria) across Europe.
