About DATE

DATE is a leading international event and unique networking opportunity for design and engineering of Systems-on-Chip, Systems-on-Board and Embedded Systems Software. Since the selection of venues Dresden (2010-2012-2014) and Grenoble (2011-2013) has been a great success, the conference will again take place in Dresden for DATE 2016.

The conference will take place at the International Congress Center Dresden, Germany, from 14 to 18 March, 2016.

The International Congress Center (ICC) Dresden is directly located on the banks of the river Elbe with a spectacular view at the historic city centre and within walking distance to downtown Dresden. The Saxon capital Dresden combines a uniquely rich cultural life with modern spirit and continuous scientific progress. Dresden’s historic centre with its baroque flair and plenty of popular sights such as the rebuilt Frauenkirche is part of the Dresden Elbe Valley and attracts numerous visitors from all over the world every year. Surrounded by a beautiful landscape, Dresden furthermore provides a picturesque environment for exceptional leisure tours. The city states an important centre of science with numerous universities, technology and scientific institutes. It is a modern and vibrant city with short distances and a cutting-edge technology and economy sector. Silicon Saxony is a registered industry association of 300 companies in the microelectronics and related sectors in Saxony, Germany, with around 20,000 employees. DATE is cooperating closely with Silicon Saxony to maximize quality visitor attendance to the show and increase visibility of the conference in the region. Dresden therefore states an excellent venue for hosting DATE 2016.

The 19th DATE conference and exhibition is the main European event bringing together designers and design automation users, researchers and vendors, as well as specialists in the hardware and software design, test and manufacturing of electronic circuits and systems. It puts strong emphasis on ICs/SoCs, reconfigurable hardware and embedded systems, including embedded software.
