The IHP is a non-profit making organization supported by the authorities of the state of Brandenburg and the federal government. The IHP pursues application-oriented research in the fields of high performance microelectronics and communication, particularly Materials & Technology Research, Circuit Design and System Design.
IHP is a coordinator of EU project "GALAXY". In this project we propose an integrated GALS design flow, together with novel NoC capabilities, that will aid embedded system design. We aim to provide an interoperability framework between the existing open and commercial CAD tools. The project will evaluate the ability of the GALS approach to solve system integration issues and, by implementing a complex communication system on an advanced 40nm CMOS process, explore the low EMI properties, low-power features and robustness to process variability in nanoscale geometries.
