This panel will cover the latest developments in funding for new ventures, whether EDA or Semiconductor related companies. Clearly, there have been major changes in the financial markets and these definitely affect the prospects of many companies currently in a “start-up” status or now in the process of planning. We will cover some of the development in the last couple of years, such as the diminishing role of private equity, valuation changes and their effect in mergers and acquisitions, consolidation and the role of public funding in fostering research.
