Automatically generating platform architecture from application model enables raising the level of abstraction for the design of embedded systems. This session highlights different approaches to map an application onto and to realise a platform: (i) formal mapping model generates synthesisable VHDL, (ii) platform specification with abstract architecture elements instantiates hardware or software interface, and (iii) UML specification realises an IP-XACT platform model.
