In this session, designs for the acceleration of the intra prediction stage and the entropy decoding stage of the H.264 codec are presented. The session also includes predictive models for power optimisation of multimedia applications based on OS analysis, and a framework for analysing the visual quality of dynamic backlighting scaling in LCD systems for power reduction.
