Multicore technology is considered key to providing flexible computing platforms in advanced process technologies. For different mass market applications, however, stringent requirements on cost and performance have to be satisfied. This session presents the use of multicore technology in different application domains, including computing, multimedia and wireless, and how specific requirements are addressed. This is illustrated with hardware/software architectures for concrete products.
