Press Release

With still over six months to go until DATE (Design, Automation and Test in Europe) 2009, the conference has received a record number of contributor submissions and a 30 percent increase in papers on industrial applications.

DATE’09 Conference, which will take place in Nice, France from 20-24 April 2009, has received over 960 submissions with the USA being the highest contributor with more than 200 submissions, and with strong contributions from Europe, Asia, South America and Oceania.

'This is a real indication that DATE 2009 is stronger than ever before and a truly global event,' said Professor Luca Benini the conference General Chair who is Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Bologna.

To reflect the growing popularity of the conference, the exhibition section of DATE has been adapted to meet the changing needs of the Electronics design industry.

It has moved from being a traditional trade show to a networking event offering a wide variety of options for interacting with customers and a range of exhibiting options.

Sponsorship opportunities are also offered to companies that would like to have greater visibility throughout the conference and a brand new DATE web portal which has just been launched will allow exhibitors and sponsors to publicise their news throughout the year.

The portal can be accessed at:  http://www.date-conference.com/
